MyMouseHouse™ Requirements

MyMouseHouse is designed as a client-server architecture. The client ("front end") in this architecture requires installation on a Mac with version OS X 10.4 or higher. The software is universal and runs on Mac PowerPC and Intel chipsets.

In order to launch MyMouseHouse™ you must be connected to the Internet. A T1 connection is recommended but we have successfully used cable, DSL and wireless WiFi (802.11 g/n).

All data is stored on our MyMouseHouse Servers at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. No data is stored locally on your computers which allows all users to simultaneously access your database.

There is always the possibility that firewall issues may limit your ability to access our servers. While we will work with you to resolve these issues on a case-by-case basis, we cannot guarantee that all access/permission issues can be resolved.

System Maintenance Notice

Please note the server undegoes routine maintenance nightly between 1:00AM - 2:00AM PST

MyMouseHouse™ Architecture

MyMouseHouse™ is designed following the model-view-controller design or architecture pattern. The model is the database, the controller is a set of platform-independant objects that provide an interface to the database, and the view is the graphical user interface (GUI).
